mews come, mews go - and i'm finally not a neon tube anymore
here i am studying again. and to prove how allergic i am to studying, ive developed a rather annoying headache. cant tilt my head or it comes back. imagine the oh-so-comfortable stiff positions im studying in.
Mickey the blue eyed white kitten has disappeared. We'd always been prepared for an occasion like this because he was deaf, so it wouldnt be surprising if he got run over, coz he wouldnt hear a car coming. but somehow i dont think it was that that happened to him. i get the feeling - as do the rest of us - that someone saw him and his blue eyes which isnt exactly a common phenomenon in a cat, and nicked him, collar or no collar. a cat cant fight for his rights. im guessing the thief didnt know that blue eyed cats are also deaf. good luck to him on communicating with THAT cat. i just hope Mickey gets treated right.
Strangely enough, the day Mickey disappeared, another kitten turned up. I must point out that it's one hell of an ugly kitten. but its so friendly. it just goes up to anyone and starts purring. so i guess he's staying. He's already been christened Patches.
Yeah, I actually had a life this weekend. On Friday night I was supposed to be meeting Sean & Keith for a drink on the boat, but Sean's car went dead on the way so I picked up Keith and went to MY bar and we had a few beers and chatted. It was so good to see him again.
Then I dropped him off home and sped home to hopefully catch Mike online, which I did, and chatted until sleep caught up and I couldnt take any more. Also very glad that we've gotten the microphones to work. Well mine always did work. I was just too lazy to plug it in. So that's being a blast :) *giggle*
Yesterday
joodee20 and I went swimming. I got fed up of being a glowworm amongst tanned bodies. So we went to the beach in Sliema with our books to supposedly study on the beach (altho we knew so well that we wouldnt end up doing anything but chatting)...
The water was amazing. It was a jade colour, but also crystal clear. Not cold, just refreshing. And I could've stayed in there for hours.
joodee20
and me:
the view from where we were. cant not mention our 'skyscraper'
honestly, couldnt they have chosen different colours for that??
to anyone interested in star gossip, thats the tower place that Madonna's got an apartment in. And Michael Owen if I remember correctly. or some other footballer... Beckham or someone. blah.
Yesterday evening I went to work. Francois was back to his usual self and I snapped at him coz frankly it was so busy, and walking into the backroom and finding him playing Solitaire wasnt my idea of fair play.
I was also not feeling well which didnt help things. I think the sun got to me a bit too much. I was running a fever and my throat was killing me. I think I was so spaced out I dont even remember closing the shop and going home. I know I went to drop off some stuff at
joodee20's house before I got home but I carely even remember that. It's all a big blur.
So obviously, plans changed and we didnt go out last night for our hamalla night as planned. It'll be another time. Summer'll be full of them until Audrey goes to Russia, I'm sure. As well as other things...
Today is Father's Day and my daddy is in a good mood. I'm so glad. I gave him his presents and he liked very muchas :) *huggle daddy*
I'm feeling much better today. My voice is back and my throat isnt hurting and I'm managing to breathe regularly. Haven't used an paper bags today. But this headache... ugh... fucking head
oh yeah one last thing. a few days ago I fished out the two summer 2000 costumes. That was the year I was ultra tiny and skinny. So I tried them on. And looky look:

- the first one is the Flamenco costume from the YADA Zodiac show at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. I'm still very pissed off at myself that I never took any pics of us in costume during that show. ps three huge people could go unnoticed hiding under that skirt - its a circle and a half
- the second was the Arisocrat costume from The Ragged Child, performed at the Manoel. Please note that costume is now missing quite a few layers of underskirts, which is why its slightly loose...
back to the books. cheerio
